There are over 50 recognized appellations within California that have been identified as displaying unique characteristics that are particular that that specific location. Attributes of grapes grown in these climates range from spicy hints of the Sierra Foothills, to tropical fruit flavors of coastal meadows, to the depth of minerality in ancient gravelly inland river valleys. This collection allows me to craft wines to fit my favorite tasting profiles, while letting me show off a little skill in blending. The grapes come from fun regions and offbeat varietals that produce tasty and distinctive wines that are such a good value that I use them as my every day dinner wines.
